Pool house is an indie pop band formed during the Crescendo programme in Riga, bringing together three artists with different musical backgrounds: Riga-based Daba, Berlin-based Donata and Diana Ezerex.

Blending indie and alternative pop with catchy hooks and driving rhythms, pool house pairs upbeat sounds with lyrics that aren't afraid to get personal. Their songs explore anxiety, complicated relationships, heartbreak, and the process of finding your way back to yourself. Moving between introspective moments and energetic, danceable tracks, pool house makes music that leaves room for both vulnerability and a good time.

Mal Limani, Laura Prits and Gustav Grinbergs are three distinctive musicians who invite listeners on a journey beyond music itself.

Blending rock, funk, blues, elements of diverse ethnic traditions and spontaneous improvisation, Luminal Shift creates a sound that is constantly evolving, embracing the unexpected and exploring new sonic territories.

Their music unfolds as a continuous story of an organism awakening on an unfamiliar planet, discovering life without knowing how or why it came to be there. Through encounters, challenges and moments of transformation, the journey leads to a deeper understanding of its own existence, discovering the strength within to embrace individuality, trust its instincts and stand on its own.

The name Luminal Shift reflects this ever-changing journey. Inspired by the idea of crossing into a new light, it represents transformation, discovery and the freedom to move between different musical styles. Just as the story’s protagonist navigates an unknown world, the band explores shifting sonic landscapes, allowing each musical direction to become part of something new.
